Greenstone/Roberts Provides Launch Pad
CHICAGO–Kupper Parker Communications’ search for a convenient launching pad for its international efforts has prompted a merger with New York shop Greenstone/Roberts Advertising.
“We felt like New York was a place we should probably be,” said KPC managing partner Bruce Kupper. Greenstone/-Roberts’ Long Island locale will make meeting with international clients more convenient, Kupper said.
The merger is expected to close in July. The 28-year-old New York shop, with an estimated $30 million in billings, will take the KPC name, Kupper said. Greenstone/Roberts’ clients include Domino Sugar, Avis and Audiovox.
Privately-held KPC has been on an aggressive acquisition path domestically. January’s acquisition of The Communications in Business Group Ltd., with offices in London; Milan, Italy; and Dusseldorf, Germany marked the shop’s first international expansion. Asia is KPC’s next target. The agency has been in deliberations with shops in Japan, India and Taiwan, Kupper said.
KPC has estimated domestic billings of $151 million from clients such as Anheuser Busch, Blockbuster Video and AT&T Cable. K
