Kohn Heading to S.F.

Ricki Kohn is going home again.
The veteran West Coast media maven who began her career in the Bay Area is joining Western Initiative Media Worldwide as vice president and general manager of its San Francisco office, sources said. Last month, Kohn resigned her post as senior vice president/group account director on the Sony Pictures Entertainment business at McCann-Erickson’s Los Angeles office [Adweek, Jan. 24].
Western executives declined to comment on the appointment, but Kohn takes command of an office in a booming region of the country.
“San Francisco is a colossally important market these days,” said a source.
