NEW YORK — Following last month’s loss of the $70 million Revlon account, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners slashed 9 percent of its 223-person staff Friday, an agency representative confirmed. Twenty-one staffers were affected across all disciplines.

The cuts stem from the departure of the cosmetics business, which was consolidated at Deutsch in New York three weeks ago [Adweek.com, Jan. 23]. Recent wins, including the $60 million USA Networks media planning and buying assignment, $5 million VF intimates creative account and Puma public relations business, offset the number of layoffs, the representative said.
