King Takes Day-to-Day Charge of LB Works

CHICAGO LB Works has named Jamie King chief operating officer, a new position at the wholly owned Leo Burnett unit here.

King, 32, an account director with Burnett for the past nine years, will manage day-to-day operations of LB Works, which had been led by unit chief executive officer Jeff Jones. In addition to Altoids, King has worked on the agency’s Allstate, Pillsbury and Heinz accounts.

Formed in late 2001 to handle technology and emerging brand clients, LB Works’ client roster includes Handspring, Heidelberg and Imation. Most recently, the shop was instrumental in helping Leo Burnett land Gateway’s $150 million account. Creative on that account is being managed out of LB Works, under chief creative officer Steffan Postaer.
