LOS ANGELES Kia Motors America said it has appointed consultancy Achenbaum Bogda Associates to complete the ongoing review for the creative portion of its $270 million ad account.

New York-based Achenbaum will oversee the competition from its office in Raleigh, N.C.

The Irvine, Calif.-based automaker acknowledged last week that it parted with its original search consultancy, AAR Partners in New York, over a perceived conflict of interest [Adweek Online, July 8]. In the initial stages of Kia’s search, launched June 8, AAR was also handling Subaru’s $140 million account.
