Kelley Habib Adds 3

Kelley Habib John has added AsianVendors, Professional Staffing Group and Digital Learning Interactive to its client roster.

Combined spending for the clients is about $5 million, according to the Boston-based agency.

“In this economy, the wins are good news for us,”said Sylvie Askins, vice president of marketing services at KHJ. “It reassures us that we’re going in the right direction.”

KHJ has created print advertising and direct mail executions for AsianVendors; the effort will break in the next few weeks. One print execution reads, “Finding the right Asian vendor takes experience. Ours.” The ads, which have no tag, will appear in textile and apparel trade magazines.

KHJ is revamping the image of Boston-based Professional Staffing. The employment company’s positioning and branding will now focus on reaching employers. Previous ads attempted to recruit prospective employees. New transit ads are expected to break in early August.

The agency is developing a collateral system for Digital Learning Interactive, Medford, Mass., a company that provides educational materials online. The marketing effort will target professors and graduate students.

The client additions come at an opportune time for the agency led by CEO Judy Habib and creative director Greg John. The shop, which claimed more than $64 million in 2000 billings, recently parted with long-time client Salem Five Cents Savings Bank; Caritas Christi Health Care System, long one of KHJ’s signature accounts, tapped Bennett + Dunne, Framingham, Mass., for ads [Adweek, June 4].
