Kaye Joins CGN as Technology Account Manager

Citing the opportunity to head a division and have greater responsibility at a smaller shop, C. David Kaye has joined CGN Marketing & Creative Services, where he will oversee a portion of the agency’s growing technology practice.
Kaye joins as a senior vice president for account services, reporting to CGN president and CEO Ken Dec. Kaye last served as a vice president and group account director with Wickersham Hunt Schwantner, a Boston direct marketing concern that fell on hard times before its recent absorption into parent Arnold Communications [Adweek, April 24].
Wickersham Hunt’s decline and the simultaneous departures of senior managers Lysle Wickersham, Amy Hunt and Jim Schwantner had nothing to do with Kaye’s move to CGN, he said.
“There’s clearly a much better opportunity here,” said Kaye. “It’s an exciting company that has a unique approach to marketing in the new digital economy.”
His tasks include managing and growing the existing technology practice and overseeing the Cognos, CBSI, OrderTrust, and Open Pages accounts.
“He’s an experienced industry veteran able to develop a business and marketing strategy for large technology clients,” said Dec. “As a core pillar of the agency, we needed David’s skills and experience.”
Kaye becomes one of about a half-dozen senior-level account managers at CGN, a unit of Epsilon, the marketing communications firm in Burlington, Mass. Kaye’s hiring completes the account management team, Dec said.
While at Wickersham Hunt, Kaye oversaw accounts such as the Fidelity Investments Institutional Brokerage Group, Internet Financial Network and Systems Union. Prior to Wickersham Hunt, Kaye held account management positions at Ingalls and Pamet River Partners, both in Boston, and Rosenfeld, Strowitz & Lawson in New York. K
