Viacom president and COO Mel Karmazin told lawmakers last Wednesday that CBS would review its guidelines for “taste” in programming and ads in the wake of the furor over the network’s Super Bowl halftime show, in which singer Janet Jackson exposed a breast. After the hearing before the House telecommunications subcommittee, Karmazin told reporters that CBS had also received complaints about a Super Bowl spot touting Universal’s vampire film Van Helsing.
