Kaplan Thaler’s KTG Buzz Taps Kleeger

NEW YORK Myles Kleeger has joined The Kaplan Thaler Group as managing director of the agency’s marketing unit, KTG Buzz.

Kleeger, 30, was most recently svp, general manager of Alloy Marketing & Promotions in New York, where he worked with clients such as Heineken USA, Unilever, Qwest, Subway, L’Oreal and Verizon Wireless.

Kleeger, who takes a new position at KTG Buzz, reports to Robin Koval, president of Publicis Groupe-owned Kaplan Thaler.

“Myles’ marketing savvy and creative mind is a perfect fit for KTG Buzz, [which] has been a great success for the agency and a tremendous resource for our clients seeking nontraditional and innovative ways to connect with consumers,” said Koval.

At KTG Buzz, Kleeger oversees three staffers.

“The initial focus will be to complement and enhance the service the main agency gives to our clients,” Kleeger said. “Mission number one is to grow KTG’s business by diversifying our offerings through creative thinking into other channels like events, promotions, interactive and experiential marketing.”

The unit was created in 2004 to generate viral and guerilla marketing efforts for the shop’s existing clients such as Procter & Gamble, Aflac, Trojan, Revlon, Pfizer, Outback Steakhouse, Continental Airlines and Foxwoods.
