LONDON – J. Walter Thompson/London has propelled a 30-year-old account man to the post of deputy managing director. Now speculation is flying that the man, Stephen Carter, is being groomed for bigger things. Meanwhile, two senior account directors have quit suddenly and three new deputy creative director positions have been awarded. The movement follows the ‘amicable’ departure earlier this month of Paul Twivy, JWT’s deputy chairman.
