LONDON JWT today confirmed that Guy Hayward, a co-founder of Amsterdam, the Netherlands-based 180, is joining the WPP Group network as chief executive in the U.K.

Hayward (pictured) got his start in the business in 1987 at JWT, where he spent about six years working as an account director in the agency’s London and Barcelona offices. He moved to WCRS and then to Wieden + Kennedy, where he worked on Nike for three years. Along with former Wieden Nike colleagues Alex Melvin and Chris Mendola, Hayward was a founder of 180, which was originally formed in 1998 to work for Nike rival Adidas.
