Juxt Launches Winn Grips Site

NEW YORK Juxt Interactive has launched a new Web site for Winn’s golf grips that features spokesman Butch Harmon, who over the years has instructed the likes of Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.

The site (www.winngrips.com), which includes Harmon’s biography and monthly tips, aims to educate consumers and retailers about the differences between Winn’s polymer club grips and other manufacturers’ rubber grips, said Jeff Shepherd, marketing manager at Winn.

The venue also provides a factory tour and information about the company’s research and development, product lines, technology and history.

The Huntington Beach, Calif.-based client hired Juxt last fall to redesign the homepage. The former site was developed by In Line in Orange, Calif. “The [redesign] goes along with our evolution,” said Shepherd. “We wanted to have a high-image site.”

Winn’s most recent print advertising from Foote, Cone & Belding in Irvine, Calif., carried the line, “We have the perfect grip for whatever type of golfer you want to be.”

Separately, Juxt has developed a new Web presence for HomeAid America, a 14-year-old nonprofit organization that partners with builders to construct shelters across the U.S. Working with big development, a Costa Mesa, Calif., technology company, Juxt created a site (www.homeaid.org) that highlights HomeAid’s mission, partner builders and current and upcoming projects. The site also provides a home for the group’s 21 U.S. chapters.

The Newport Beach, Calif., interactive shop is also crafting an e-mail campaign to drive traffic to the HomeAid site and increase awareness of the nation’s homeless.
