JDK Adds Gregory

BOSTON Jager Di Paola Kemp has hired Bill Gregory as director of brand strategy, a new post at the 80-person independent shop. Gregory, 43, reports to David Kemp, director of marketing at the shop in Burlington. Vt., and will also work closely with creative director, Michael Jager.

Gregory most recently ran his own small company Gregory Brand Planning, where he worked with clients BBDO, Coors, Gillette and Microsoft. He has worked for agencies such as independent Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Ore., where he was a strategic planning director from 2000-2001 on accounts such as Amazon.com and Miller Brewing.

“Credentials are an important part but beyond that, [Gregory] is very bright with a wide ranging intellect,” said Kemp. “He is able to encompass the broad sweep of cultural trends … that is needed to develop brand strategies. “

JDK is known for its work on such youth-oriented brands as Burton Snowboards and The Cartoon Network.
