James Takes BaseSix Marketing Post

BOSTON BaseSix has hired Debra James as vp, director of marketing. She looks to bring more offline business to the Boston independent in order to help the shop sustain its recent momentum and continue to grow.

Before joining BaseSix, James spent a decade at crosstown marketing company Digitas, most recently as a senior associate on the Delta Air Lines account.

James is now tasked with new-business development and strategic planning at the 30-person shop, along with John Skolis, who also holds the vp, director of marketing title.

BaseSix grew 30 percent last year and looks to enjoy the same revenue boost in 2003, said agency CEO Mark Ranalli. Clients include AT&T Broadband, ESPN and HBO.
