CHICAGO The Grow Boating Marketing Task Force, a coalition of marine industry companies, has selected Interpublic Group’s Carmichael Lynch to handle its $10 million advertising account, according to the shop.

The Minneapolis agency bested Omnicom Group’s DDB in Chicago, IPG’s Mullen in Wenham, Mass., and The Richards Group, an independent in Dallas. Jones Lundin Beals in Chicago conducted the review.

“We have had two days of presentations by four of the best agencies in the country,” said John Dotson, chairman of the GBMTF, in a statement.
