heldon Mirowitz has come a long way since his commercial work in the mid-80s, when a catchy tune he helped create for BayBank (“I’ve got my BayBank card!”) ruled the airwaves.
The co-owner of Veritƒ Music wrote the original score for the recently released film Outside Providence, the new feature comedy from the Farrelly brothers, who also produced the hit There’s Something About Mary.
Outside Providence marks the fourth full-length feature to which Mirowitz has contributed. He also composed music for Troublesome Creek, Say You’ll Be Mine and Autumn Heart.
Mirowitz said he hopes to score more films in the future–but he’s keeping his “day job” as a commercial composer just the same.
