IAF Names Harrison Direct Lions President

NEW YORK Steve Harrison has been appointed president of the Direct Lions jury for 2006, the International Advertising Festival said today.

Harrison is managing director and creative Partner of Harrison Troughton Wunderman in London. His shop has won the most Direct Lions since the category was introduced in 2002, including the inaugural Direct Grand Prix for an Automobile Association’s roadside assistance piece. His shop has picked up three gold, five silver and two bronze Lions in total, for ads on behalf of Xerox, IBM, Star Alliance and Microsoft, among other clients.

Harrison attended the University of Manchester and started his advertising career at Ogilvy & Mather Direct in London. He began as a researcher in 1985 and eventually became European creative director in 1997. He co-founded HPT Brand Response in 1998 and began at Harrison Troughton Wunderman in 2001.

The 53rd International Advertising Festival will take place June 18-24 in Cannes, France.
