Celtic Advertising in Milwaukee has retained its Huffy Sports Basketball Systems business, following a review.
The incumbent reigned over finalists Nelson & Schmidt, Milwaukee, and Goebel Marketing Associates, Greensboro, N.C. The review began early in the summer when Huffy Sports sent requests for proposals to about 20 agencies, mostly in Wisconsin.
Huffy Sports is headquartered in Sussex, Wis., and is a division of the Huffy Corp., best known for its bicycles. The company sells basketball backboards and rims through retailers such as Kmart, Wal-Mart and The Sports Authority.
Huffy spent $300,000 in 1996 on measured media, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
