7 Square Off for Promus Hotel Account
DALLAS–Promus Hotel Corp. of Memphis, Tenn., will hear presentations in July from seven shops for a possible consolidation of its $40 million account. Still in contention, according to sources, are incumbents GSD&M, Austin, Texas, and DDB Needham Dallas; Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Arnold Communications, both Boston; TBWA Chiat/Day and Deutsch, both New York; and Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago. Promus officials and agency executives declined to comment. Sources said each shop has been given a branding project.
