NationsBank Initiates Consolidation Review
DALLAS–The pending merger of NationsBank and Bank of America has opened a review of roster and non-roster shops for what insiders believe will be a consolidated $85 million account. Sources said incumbents Temerlin McClain, Deutsch and GSD&M began receiving questionnaires last week, along with other undisclosed agencies. Client and agency executives declined to comment. Temerlin, Irving, Texas, is agency of record for NationsBank. Deutsch, New York and Marina del Ray, Calif., handles creative and print media buying for Bank of America, while GSD&M, Austin, Texas, is responsible for BofA’s broadcast buying.
