A Temerlin Creates TV Spots for Nationwide
DALLAS–Temerlin McClain has produced two new television commercials for insurance company Nationwide. Using a “Picture this” theme, the 30- and 20-second television spots portray a woman caught in a hailstorm and a man who relocates to a new city where he needs an automobile. Both ads emphasize the value of having a Nationwide agent to consult. The two ads, which began airing in six spot markets and nationally on The Weather Channel on June 19, are available for local agent buys as well.
A Creative Civilization Wins Cancer Assignment
DALLAS–Creative Civilization–an Aguilar Agency has been awarded a Hispanic multimedia outreach campaign by the Texas division of the American Cancer
Society. The new campaign, involving research, creative, media and public relations, is scheduled to launch in September. “Our agency is honored to be actively involved in such a significant effort to reach out to our Hispanic community,” said agency president and chief executive officer Adolfo Aguilar.
A BrightSmile Selects Houston Radio Specialist
DALLAS–Ad Results, an advertising agency specializing in radio personality endorsements, has added BrightSmile to its client roster. The Houston-based agency introduced a radio advertising campaign this month using a combination of nationally and regionally known voices in eight major U.S. markets. BrightSmile, based in Walnut Creek, Calif., operates centers using its light-activated tooth whitener, which it licenses to dentists as well. Billings for the account were not disclosed.
A Vollmer Adds 7 Clients to Tech Roster
DALLAS–Public relations firm Vollmer has recently added several technology clients with combined billings of $1.5 million. Wireless startups MobileStar Network and Stick Networks have tapped Vollmer’s Dallas office to handle public relations for their national rollouts. Headquartered in Houston, Vollmer will also provide public relations and marketing support to software developers Orillion and Kara Technologies; application specialists
VeriCenter and InVerge; and training provider LinkTek.

DALLAS–After nine years, mc2 Advertising & Design has changed its name to mc2 Creative, reflecting the agency’s emphasis on graphics design and Web site development. “We haven’t had a traditional advertising account for some time,” said Shannon Carter, president and creative director at Austin, Texas-based mc2. “Almost 60 percent of our business is Web site design and construction.”
