DALLAS–Finalists for the $10-15 million account of Metamor Worldwide are Price/McNabb, Charlotte, N.C.; Trone Advertising, High Point, N.C.; TFA/Leo Burnett
Technology Group, Austin, Texas; and Emmerling Post Advertising, New York, sources said. Trone is agency of record for PSINet, which acquired Metamor last month. Pile and Co. of Boston is managing the review for the Houston-based client.
A Army Review Loses, Gains New Yorkers
ATLANTA–Saatchi & Saatchi has withdrawn from the U.S. Army’s $115 million review, according to sources. Saatchi was replaced by another New York shop, Ogilvy & Mather. Other contenders are The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va.; Arnold Communications, Boston; Campbell-Ewald, Warren, Mich.; DDB and Leo Burnett, both Chicago; and McCann-Erickson, New York. New York incumbent Young & Rubicam declined to defend.
A BBDO South Recruits Creative Directors
ATLANTA–BBDO South here hired two executives to anchor a third creative team. Senior vice president and group creative director Bill Pauls, 34, was a partner and associate CD at J. Walter Thompson, Atlanta. Vice president and group CD Jackie Hathiramani, 37, was a senior writer at Temerlin McClain, Dallas.

ATLANTA–Crispin Porter & Bogusky has become the first agency of record for AtomFilms, a company specializing in cinema shorts and digital media. The Miami shop will promote the Seattle firm’s Web site. Estimated billings are $20 million.
A 3 Southeast Agencies in Recreational Review
ATLANTA–Six shops are vying for the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation’s ad contract, worth $36 million over five years. Contenders for the Alexandria, Va.- based account are: Austin Kelley Advertising, Atlanta;
Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy, Charlotte, N.C.; Long Haymes Carr, Winston-Salem, N.C.; The Richards Group, Dallas; and Carmichael Lynch and Martin/Williams, both Minneapolis. A cut to finalists will be made in mid-April, with a May decision, said Judy Neer of Pile and Co., the Boston consultancy overseeing the review.

ATLANTA–Adworks will be named a winner at this year’s Effie Awards. The Washington, D.C., agency’s work for TLC Laser Eye Centers will be recognized at a June 7 ceremony.
