CME Adds Healthcare Account to Roster
CHICAGO–United Healthcare in Minnetonka, Minn., has moved its $18 million account to Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis from Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer Euro RSCG, New York, without a review, CME confirmed. United Healthcare did not return calls seeking comment. The Evans Group in Salt Lake City remains the agency for United’s Medicare and Medicaid business, according to sources.
Aurora Health Care Opens Review
CHICAGO–Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee is conducting a review for its $1-3 million account. Incumbent Bender, Browning, Dolby & Sanderson in Milwaukee is participating. Eleven other shops in Wisconsin and northern Illinois are being considered, an Aurora representative said. Aurora has 12 hospitals, 125 clinics and a variety of other healthcare and social-service operations throughout eastern Wisconsin.
Singer Moves to DMB&B From Burnett
CHICAGO–Gary I. Singer joined D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, St. Louis, as managing director and chief operating officer. Singer had been a senior vice president at Leo Burnett here, heading its Kraft Foods account. At DMB&B, Charlie Claggett continues as managing director and chief creative officer.
Reily Foods Picks Martin/Williams
CHICAGO–Reily Foods in New Orleans assigned creative duties for its estimated $3-5 million account to Martin/Williams in Minneapolis. Ryan Drossman & Partners, New York, previously handled the account. DeWitt Media, New York, handles media buying.
Rally’s Hires Marketing Chief, Review Continues
CHICAGO–Rally’s Hamburgers in Louisville, Ky., named Anthony Lavely to the new post of senior vice president for sales and marketing. Previously, he was president, consumer marketing at Creative Alliance in Louisville. Lavely, who has worked at Domino’s, Burger King, Long John Silver’s and other restaurant chains, said he likely will add some agencies “that may have fallen below the radar” to Rally’s ongoing review of the creative assignment for its $8-10 million account, previously with Mendelsohn/Zien, Los Angeles. Western International Media, Los Angeles, handles media planning and placement.
Miller Moves Hispanic Creative, Media Buying
CHICAGO–Miller Brewing, Milwaukee, moved the creative portion of its Miller Lite Hispanic account to Lucero/Bentz in Dallas. Previous agency Marti Flores Prieto & Wachtel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, retains Miller Genuine Draft and other global assignments. Miller also consolidated Hispanic media buying with Leo Burnett in Chicago, which has handled all other Miller media buying.
