Reebok Narrows Search to 2 Finalists
NEW YORK-Reebok International in Stoughton, Mass., has selected two New York agencies, Grey Advertising and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, as the finalists in the review for its $90 million global media buying account, sources said. Agency executives and Reebok director of public relations David Fogelson could not be reached or declined comment. The account was at Leo Burnett in Chicago.

Apple Computer Says Review Is Proceeding
LOS ANGELES-An Apple Computer representative said the company’s agency search is “still on track” and that the Cupertino, Calif., client continues to work with review consultant Jack McBride of McBride & Associates, Modesto, Calif. Two weeks ago, Apple vice president of advertising David Roman said the review had been put on hold, since Apple acting chief executive Steve Jobs had become involved. Jobs recently met with TBWA Chiat/Day’s Lee Clow. The agency will decide this week if it will participate in the review.

FCB Kicks Off New Levi Strauss Campaign
SAN FRANCISCO-Foote, Cone & Belding here will launch a branding campaign for client Levi Strauss on Aug. 4. Six TV ads, which feature cameos by celebrities, including rock singer Lenny Kravitz, are designed to “celebrate the individuality of the Levi’s culture,” one source said. A 90-second spot will air in theaters.

Jockey Trims Contenders List to 2 Agencies
CHICAGO-Jockey International in Racine, Wis., has narrowed the review for its $10-15 million account to Partners & Shevack and M&C Saatchi, both New York. Grey Advertising, New York, was eliminated.

Future Shop Picks 4 Finalists
DETROIT-Future Shop, the Burnaby, British Columbia-based consumer electronics retailer, named four finalists for its estimated $15 million account. Presenting next month will be EvansGroup, Seattle; W.B. Doner & Co., Southfield, Mich.; Bozell Worldwide in Toronto; and Palmer Jarvis, Vancouver, British Columbia. The client said it may hire a Canadian media buying agency to handle media there. McCann-Erickson, Seattle, is the incumbent.

AAR Calls Off $20 Mil. Review
LOS ANGELES-A review for an undisclosed, $20 million packaged-goods client being conducted by the Advertising Agency Register in New York has been canceled, sources said. The client was believed to be Hunt-Wesson in Fullerton, Calif.

Thiokol Names Finalists for Corporate Ad Account
BOSTON-Four finalists have emerged in the review for the estimated $4 million corporate ad account of aerospace firm Thiokol in Ogden, Utah. In contention are Keiler & Co., Farmington, Conn.; New York agencies Grey Advertising and Merkley Newman Harty; and one undisclosed shop, sources said. Advertising had been handled in-house.
