DALLAS—Invesco Funds Group will introduce the third commercial in its “Masters of the game” series during the Super Bowl on Sunday. The ad, produced by The Richards Group in Dallas, features former football coach Bill Walsh. It will continue to air on network television following its debut. In the spot, Walsh correlates knowledge with having an edge on the competition. Previous efforts for the Denver-based mutual funds company have starred former tennis champion Chris Evert and ex-basketball great Bill Russell.

Cooper Energy Selects Robert Lamons

DALLAS—Robert Lamons & Associates has beendesignated agency of record for Cooper Energy Services, a manufacturer of power engines and gas compressors. The agency’s first assignment on the business-to-business account will be a push for the company’sSuperior brand engines and compressors. The project will involve branding, advertising, collateral and trade show promotions. Both the client and agency are located in Houston.

TKO Whips Up Clients for Mediaprise

DALLAS—TKO Advertising has launched a “Whip-smart” campaign for Mediaprise, an online brand management specialist. As part of the launch, the Austin, Texas, agency created a Mediaprise branding kit, which included an invitation to customers to a marketing management seminar, a leather whip and instructions on “taming unruly brands.” A circus theme was extended to posters, which carried the tagline “You need our Brand Management Resources like Siegfried needs Roy.” The client is also based in Austin.

McGill Adds Public Relations Accounts

DALLAS—McGill Associates has been retained to provide media and community relations for both Adventure Tours USA and Daired’s Salon and Spa Pangea. Dallas-based Adventure Tours is one of the largest travel services companies in the U.S., providing vacation packages to more than a half-million customers annually. Daired’s in Arlington, Texas, is a recently opened facility offering spa treatments. McGill is located in Dallas.

Houston Toyota Dealers Drive to Omni

ATLANTA—The Houston Power Team Toyota DealerAssociation has chosen Omni Automotive, an arm of Intermark Group, as its lead agency. The $7 million account represents 17 Toyota dealers in the Houston area, according to Intermark chief executive officer William M. Harville. Omni, headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., was pitted against incumbent First Impressions Marketing & Advertising of Oklahoma City, which handled the account for eight years. Omni is charged with media placement and creating print and broadcast advertising.

Champion Mortgage Signs Martin Agency

ATLANTA—The Martin Agency has bested six undisclosed contenders to become the first agency of record for Champion Mortgage Co., a home equity lender. Billings are undisclosed. Martin is based in Richmond, Va.; Champion is headquartered in Parsippany, N.J.
