TBWA Chiat/Day Wins Kinko’s
LOS ANGELES–TBWA Chiat/Day’s Venice, Calif., office beat Lowe & Partners/SMS and Ogilvy & Mather, both New York, to win Kinko’s $40 million global account last week. “We’re looking forward to helping the Kinko’s brand be as famous as it deserves to be,” said Lee Clow, chief creative officer of TBWA Worldwide. Separately, the Venice office received an Emmy nomination for best TV commercial for its “Think different” spot for Apple Computer. Additionally, the agency’s New York office last week beat Deutsch, New York, for Barnes and Noble.com’s estimated $35 million account.
Goodby’s Nike Work Honored by APG
LOS ANGELES–Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ strategy for Nike’s women’s basketball account won a gold medal in the third annual APG-U.S. account planning awards, sponsored by Adweek Magazines. The San Francisco-based agency was lauded for its “A Championship Season” campaign. TBWA Chiat/Day in Venice, Calif., took home the silver award for its “The Front” campaign for The Weather Channel.

Hewlett-Packard has named Strategic Interactive Group, Boston and San Francisco, to handle its estimated $2 million Hardcopy Products Group interactive business, said executives at Select Resources International, the Los Angeles consultancy that handled the review. Other finalists included Agency.com, New York and San Francisco, and Novo-Ironlight and US Web/Ikonic, San Francisco. … FJCN/W&R, Salt Lake City, has been tapped by Associated Food Stores. Billings for the Salt Lake City-based regional cooperative food wholesaler are expected to reach $2.5 million. … Cramer-Krasselt’s Phoenix office has won the estimated $5-8 million MicroAge Integration account. The Phoenix-based technology company selected the shop after a two-month review that included local agencies E.B. Lane & Associates, Moses Anshell and Riester-Robb. Interactive media will be provided through CK Interactive, Montpelier, Vt.
Doan to Leave Saatchi’s San Francisco Office
LOS ANGELES–Mary Doan is stepping down as worldwide director of client service applications at Saatchi & Saatchi’s San Francisco office to pursue other interests. No replacement has been named.
