Presbyterian Healthcare Selects Dieste

DALLAS–Presbyterian Healthcare System here has chosen Dallas agency Dieste & Partners as its Hispanic agency of record. Billings were undisclosed, as were the names of other area shops under consideration. Elaine Gwaltney, communications and marketing director at Presbyterian, said the rapid growth of the Hispanic community in North and East Texas prompted the not-for-profit healthcare provider’s search for a Hispanic marketing partner. PHS consists of four member and four affiliate hospitals, four Senior Medical Centers, 15 PrimaCare complexes, Careflite emergency services, Family Medical Centers and a retirement community.

Anderson Opens Production Division

DALLAS–Anderson Advertising, San Antonio, has created Anderson RPM, an independent division that provides turnkey production services in graphics, audio-visual, print and promotional development. Anderson RPM (or Retail Promotions and Marketing), headed by print production manager Michael Conner, is already providing direct support for retail outlets in nine states.

Hadeler White PR Signs Mail Boxes, Etc.

DALLAS–Hadeler White Public Relations, a division of Dallas-based agency Hadeler Sullivan Ewing, has added Mail Boxes, Etc. to its client roster. Billings were undisclosed. Mail Boxes, Etc. has more than 3,300 franchise centers offering business, communications and postal services. Hadeler White PR’s assignment is to deliver the client’s message to the small and home office market. Billings were undisclosed.

CD Warehouse Franchisees Form Ad Co-op

DALLAS–A group of CD Warehouse franchisees have formed an advertising cooperative in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The cooperative will cover 17 stores. It is the first cooperative among owners of the new and used compact disc chain and part of the corporate plan to advertise heavily in large urban markets for Oklahoma City, Okla.-based CD Warehouse.

Parker Moves Up at Adweek Magazines

NEW YORK–Michael E. Parker, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Adweek Magazines and publisher of Mediaweek, has been promoted to executive vice president and group publisher. In his new position, Parker will add responsibilities for Adweek Magazines Marketing Services operations, as well as sales and marketing for Marketing Computers, while retaining sales and marketing leadership of Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek.
