“Bell: No Third Arm for True North
CHICAGO-True North Communications is no longer seeking a third agency network, which chief executive officer David Bell called “a shift of strategic focus” under his command. “We have no plans for a third network,” Bell said in remarks following the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting in Chicago. “We have brands that are extremely capable.” Former chief executive officer Bruce Mason, who stepped down March 31, was open in his desire for a network to complement True North’s Foote, Cone & Belding and Bozell Worldwide properties.
