Levenson Launches New Churchs Campaign
DALLAS–Levenson & Hill, Dallas, will break a new campaign for Atlanta-based Churchs Chicken today in a three-spot television blitz in 40 markets. Each of the commercials focuses on the theme, ‘The Crave,’ in reference to customers’ cravings for Churchs Chicken. The spots include appearances by Fox’s Mad TV cast member Pablo Francisco and gospel-crossover artists Kirk Franklin and The Family. Market coverage includes major Texas cities like Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, as well as New Orleans, Atlanta, Phoenix and Tampa, Fla.
Bam! Scores Account of Bungie Software
DALLAS–Bam! in Austin, Texas, was named agency of record for Bungie Software, Chicago-based developer of the Marathon computer game series. Billings are estimated at $1 million annually. The agency’s initial assignment is to develop materials for the September launch of Bungie’s Myth: The Fallen Lords 3-D strategy game. It is the first title that Macintosh-oriented Bungie will launch initially in the Windows 95 format, according to the agency.
AlphaGraphics Assigns Chores to Quest
DALLAS–The Quest Business Agency, Houston, was recently awarded the business-to-business direct marketing account of AlphaGraphics, Tucson, Ariz. AlphaGraphics sends out more 300,000 direct mail pieces monthly, spending $2 million annually.
Mayer Acquires Community Coffee Media
NEW ORLEANS–Peter A. Mayer Advertising here was chosen to handle media planning and placement for Community Coffee of Baton Rouge, La. MAAPS, Baton Rouge, had been performing media placement for Community; planning was done internally. The Richards Group of Dallas continues to handle creative. Billings were undisclosed. Mayer has worked for Community, the nation’s largest family-owned retail coffee brand, on projects since 1991.
Oklahoma State Enrols Littlefield Marketing
DALLAS–Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., has hired Littlefield Marketing & Advertising of Tulsa, Okla., to market an upcoming $45 million capital campaign. The six-month drive, which kicks off this fall, will seek to raise funds for an OSU sports complex. Littlefield will handle advertising and public relations assignments on the project, as well as direct response, production, print materials and special event coordination.
DDB Rolls Out News Spots for ‘Guide’
DALLAS–DDB Needham Dallas has broken the first of four television commercials promoting ‘Guide,’ the weekly entertainment section of The Dallas Morning News. The ‘Guide’ spot first aired in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and will continue running on all four network affiliates here.
