It’s Just for More Hotel Business
ATLANTA–Just Partners, Richmond, Va., has secured the $2 million ad account of Colonial Williamsburg Hotel Properties. The client, which operates five Williamsburg, Va.-area sites, awarded Just its business without a review. The agency’s first assignment will be the relaunch of the client’s Golden Horseshoe Golf Resort. The new business does not conflict with Just’s Homestead Village client. Colonial competes in the resort category in a specific geographical area, and Homestead is a chain of extended-stay facilities.
Ex-WestWayne Creative Chief to London
ATLANTA–Martin Macdonald, former vice chairman and executive creative director at WestWayne here, has been named executive creative director of the recently opened London office of Boston-based Bronner Slosberg Humphrey. Bronner established a U.K. presence to service Cellnet, a subsidiary of British Telcom. Macdonald left WestWayne last year over a disagreement with management over the direction of the agency. He was replaced last spring by Luke Sullivan from Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis.
Atlanta’s Match Adds a Pair of Clients
ATLANTA–Match here added two new clients last week, pulling in the accounts of Hobbs Group and Centennial Park West. Hobbs is a privately held risk management company that competes with large commercial insurance brokers. Centennial is a residential development in downtown Atlanta that will begin selling units this spring. Billings were not disclosed.
Tell It to the Marines Goes to the Movies
ATLANTA–The most recent broadcast creative for the U.S. Marines, which broke last October on television, is going to the movies. The client and its agency,
J. Walter Thompson here, have made a media buy with the National Cinema Network that places the spot on 4,500 movies screens in the top 50 DMAs. The flight began Feb. 12 and will run for eight weeks.
BBQ Grill, Pill Makers Join Rockett’s Roster
ATLANTA–Rockett Burkhead & Winslow announced two new clients last Friday. The Raleigh, N.C., shop picked up the advertising business of The Holland Co., a maker of high-end barbecue grills, and Banner Pharmacaps, a company that encapsulates prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Combined billings were estimated at $2 million.
Barkley Could Be Next Agency for Dollar
CHICAGO–Dollar Rent A Car is set to move its $15 million advertising account to Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City, Mo., without a review, sources said. An announcement could come as early as this week. Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia currently handles the rental chain’s business, but the client is looking for an agency closer to its Tulsa, Okla., headquarters, according to sources.
