Internet service provider Earthlink has tapped Horizon Media, New York, to handle direct response and general- market media planning and buying accounts totaling an estimated $50 million, a Horizon rep said. The media shop will handle Earthlink’s dial-up, broadband and MailStation products. Horizon has been handling Earthlink’s direct response buying since August 2001. StarLink, a unit of Publicis’ Starcom, had been the client’s media agency.
