Public relations firm MCA has hired Karen Hopkins as vice president of global strategy. Previously, Hopkins was vice president of communications and chief of staff to the executive office at Philips Components. Her new duties at the Mountain View, Calif.-based firm include directing international operations, overseeing development of the flat-panel display practice and driving new business.
