Hill, Holliday Ads Unfold for ‘Boston Globe’

BOSTON Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos has unveiled a campaign for The Boston Globe, the region’s largest circulation newspaper, introducing the tagline, “Your world, unfolding daily.”

Spots will feature a newspaper hawker who tells a sidewalk crowd that they can stay informed by reading the Globe. An effort was made to capture “what the Globe is all about … in a way that people will immediately recognize and understand,” said Hill, Holliday president Mike Sheehan. A key goal is to emphasize the depth of national, international and specialty reporting that distinguishes the Globe in the local marketplace.

Television, print and outdoor executions are all in the mix from the Boston-based Interpublic Group agency.

A campaign launched last year touted the client’s print and online employment sections and used the tag, “The jobs you want. And how to get them.”

As with many newspapers nationwide, Globe circulation has been flat for the past few years around 470,000 daily and 705,000 on Sunday.
