Internet marketing author and entrepreneur Bob Heyman has joined Mediasmith, San Francisco, as chief search officer. In his new position, he will lead the company’s efforts to build client Web site traffic and participate in the development of online and traditional media planning and buying solutions. Mediasmith clients include Roxio, Napster, Hyperion, BabyCenter, Sega and Starz! Ticket. Previously, Heyman was an entertainment attorney and co-creator of the rock opera Rock Justice, with Jefferson Starship’s Marty Balin.
