Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has named Hector Munoz as its new chief marketing officer, after he served as vp of marketing for the New Orleans-based restaurant chain.

Munoz will report to Popeyes' chief brand experience officer Dick Lynch and help develop everything from ads and promotions to products and menu ideas.

Munoz joined Popeyes in 2011 after more than a decade with Burger King. Earlier in his career, he worked at Long John Silver's, Taco Bell, Bruegger's Bagels and Church's Chicken.

Munoz' promotion comes after 17 consecutive quarters of positive same store sales at Popeyes.
