Heathcott Wins Pair of Arkansas Accounts

DALLAS Heathcott Associates has picked up the ad accounts of the Arkansas State Fair and Central Arkansas Water.

The Little Rock, Ark., shop was awarded the accounts of the in-state clients in two separate reviews that both included local contenders. Combined billings total $750,000, Heathcott said.

Heathcott contended against three finalists for the State Fair account: Combs & Co., Mangan Holcomb Rainwater Culpepper and incumbent The Communications Group, the shops confirmed.

Heathcott will handle creative development, media placement and public relations for the fair over the next three years. The next fair is scheduled for Oct. 10-19.

“From a new business standpoint, the Arkansas State Fair is one of the biggest prizes in the advertising industry,” agency vice president Jill Hutcherson said in a statement. “A client like the fair gives us the opportunity to showcase our PR and marketing skills in a highly visible forum.”

For the CAW business, Heathcott contended against finalist Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, CJRW confirmed.

Both Stone Ward of Little Rock and The Communications Group had handled work for the client; Stone Ward was the only one of the two that returned the request of qualification, the shops said.

Heathcott will handle CAW’s advertising, public relations, research, Web site development, employee relations and consumer education strategies.
