To fuel growth in digital advertising, Health Club Panel Network Tuesday (July 15) named Lon von Hurwitz as the company’s new president of sales, marketing and customer relations. He comes to HCPN from Lifeclinic International, where he served as executive vp.
von Hurwitz is the first major hire of Ken Williams, who was named CEO last month. Both Hurwitz and Williams first met at Ascent Media Group.
Like Williams, Hurwitz has a long track record in digital advertising. At Lifeclinic he drove the conversion of the company’s biometric data collection kiosks to digital platforms at 25,000 drug stores and supermarkets. Prior to Lifeclinic he was president of sales and marketing for InStore Broadcasting Network.
“[von Hurwitz] is one of the true pioneers of digital place-based media, with significant experience in both developing compelling digital content as well as attracting advertising support for this new media,” said Williams. “He also has a solid track record in retailer relations and in growing sales organizations.”
HCPN’s network extends to nearly 3,000 clubs across 49 states and 120 markets.
