The Schupp Co. in St. Louis has been awarded the account of Harrah’s St. Louis-Riverport Casino & Hotel, following a brief review against undisclosed competitors.
The account was previously handled by TBWA Chiat/Day’s St. Louis office, which closed late last year. TBWA Chiat/Day won the business in September 1996 while the casino complex was still being built in Maryland Heights, Mo., west of St. Louis. The advertising budget at that time, which included grand opening costs, was estimated as high as $5 million.
