Grey Global Group’s first work since winning the $270 million Kmart account in August broke during Sunday’s World Series game. Urban-themed spots emphasize that the best brands and values are available at a convenient location, a Kmart rep said. The two 45-second ads and one 30-second spot use a rerecording of Jesus Jones’ 1992 pop song “Right Here, Right Now”; the tagline echoes that: “Kmart. Right here. Right now.” Grey’s New York office worked on the effort with multicultural shops Carol H. Williams in Oakland, Calif., and Wing Latino Group in New York. Grey’s MediaCom handles media.
