Grey Global Group’s first work since winning the $270 million Kmart account in August broke during Sunday’s World Series game. Urban-themed spots emphasize that the best brands and values are available at a convenient location, a Kmart rep said. The two 45-second ads and one 30-second spot use a rerecording of Jesus Jones’ 1992 pop song “Right Here, Right Now”; the tagline echoes that: “Kmart. Right here. Right now.” Grey’s New York office worked on the effort with multicultural shops Carol H.
