SAN FRANCISCO The California Lottery Commission on Friday voted to extend its contract with Grey Global Group’s Grey on an interim basis until it selects a new shop in the third review for its five-year, $125 million contract.

The Los Angeles shop’s contract with the state expired on May 31. The lottery’s two earlier review decisions were thrown out over legal challenges. Other agencies that have taken part in reviews are Interpublic Group’s Foote, Cone & Belding, San Francisco, and Omnicom’s DDB and IPG’s McCann-Erickson, all in Los Angeles.
