The Green Depot is growing. Based in Brooklyn, N.Y., the supplier of environmentally friendly building and living solutions opens its seventh store on Feb. 12. This flagship location, located on the Bowery in Manhattan, is housed in a building that once served as the city’s first YMCA in 1885.
Green Depot, which now has seven locations in the Northeast, features many eco-friendly products and limited editions of sustainable design solutions by home designers. It also includes a resource center where staff advises customers about how to build in an environmentally friendly way and a zero-VOC (volatile organic compound) paint bar.
