Google is extending its ubiquitous Web advertising platform AdSense into the exploding mobile applications space.

The search behemoth has rolled out AdSense for Mobile Applications, aimed at the growing number of companies that produce apps for both Google’s own Android mobile software as well as for Apple’s iPhone. Google has already begun testing the product with several popular apps, such as the song-identification app Shazam and the local-restaurant-finder Urbanspoon.

Now, the product is available to all developers who are looking to monetize their apps with text and display ads delivered by Google.
