General Mills Puts Lloyd’s Barbecue On CME’s Table

Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis has been awarded creative and media duties for prepared meat and poultry brand Lloyd’s Barbecue Co.
CME will create consumer and business-to-business advertising for the brand, which was acquired by Minneapolis-based General Mills last year.
Billings were not disclosed, but sources said it was likely General Mills would put decent cash behind the brand. Previous advertising had been handled on a project basis by multiple agencies.
Lloyd’s is a line of ready-to-heat, prepared meat and poultry products. The line includes barbecued ribs, sliced beef, shredded pork and chicken. Lloyd’s food service customers include Subway and American Airlines. –Aaron Baar
