GBK Names President

BOSTON Griffin Bodi & Krause, a mainstay on the Northern New England agency scene for more than 30 years, has named Travis York president and partner and changed its name to Griffin York & Krause.

York had been evp, managing director at the independent shop in Manchester, N.H., which employs about 50 staffers and works on assignments for a mix of consumer and business-to-business clients, including the New Hampshire Lottery and Tyco International. York came to the shop in July 2005 from Havas’ Euro RSCG. He succeeds Mark Bodi, who recently left the agency, as president.

The shop, which has weathered more than three decades of economic ups and downs to outlast many of its regional midsize rivals, has been on a growth spurt of late, adding more than 20 employees and bolstering its interactive, public relations and mainstream advertising capabilities in the past 24 months to stay competitive in the fast-changing business climate.

“Since Travis joined our company, he has helped us to be a catalyst of change in the industry. We are committed to offering our clients, regional and national, unique and relevant content delivery services to increase market share and sales,” said Pat Griffin, shop chairman and CEO.

Other recent key hires at the shop include Kristin Beltramini, PR manager; Ben Pierce, multimedia designer; Alex Steege, graphic designer; Josh Nason, interactive business development director; and Susan Bowie, Interactive traffic manager.
