When I first saw the new cheerleading-themed Gap campaign from Crispin Porter + Bogusky, my inclination was, as our very own ad critic Barbara Lippert suggested, to immediately turn down the volume on my TV. Loved the non-denominational  take on holiday cheer, and props to the copywriting and choreographing. But I’m not a fan of all that screaming or cheerleaders for that matter (except indestructible ones like Claire from Heroes, of course). Yet, give me a similar spot with a bunch of attitudinal young girls and Gap’s snagged me.
