Discount retailer Gabriel Bros. has contacted about a dozen shops in the Southeast and East for a $2-5 million effort backing its Gabe and Rugged Warehouse chains, the client said last week. Incumbent Marmion in Pittsburgh will participate. Consultant Dorinda Freeman in New York is representing the Morgantown, W.Va.-based client, which also is using agencyfinder.com. A cut to four or five is expected by month’s end. A decision is due in March.
