F/W/V Intros Wrangler to Home Furnishings Mart

ATLANTA French/West/Vaughn has launched a new campaign for longtime client Wrangler to promote the apparel manufacturer’s entry into the furniture market, the agency said.

The client introduced its Wrangler Home Collection of furniture at the International Home Furnishings trade show in High Point, N.C., last month. Wrangler designed the line and Dubuque, Iowa, furniture manufacturer Flexsteel Industries produced it.

The Raleigh, N.C., independent shop produced print ads that ran in Furniture Today, a weekly newspaper for the furniture industry, in the week before and week of the trade show. The ads will run in the publication again during the middle of this month.

A national consumer ad campaign will begin early next year in several shelter magazines, including Home and Country Home, and continue throughout the year. All the ads were photographed in a showcase house that was built to display the furniture.

No broadcast advertising is planned, according to the agency. Campaign spending was undisclosed.

Public relations and event marketing plans include a national tour to malls and libraries of the Wrangler Home reading chair to help promote literacy.
