As expected, Freightliner Corp., has begun a search for new advertising agency, following its split with longtime shop Young & Roehr, Portland, Ore. [Adweek, April 19].
The Portland-based truck manufacturer is looking for a shop to handle its corporate and business unit accounts. It plans to boost ad spending to approximately $10 million, according to company executives.
Specifically, Freightliner is looking for a shop with business-to-business advertising experience and automotive expertise. The selected agency must have capitalized billings of $30-100 million, have a Portland office and be able to service its East Coast business.
