Founder’s Son Assumes Presidency of Buntin

ATLANTA The Buntin Group said it has named Jeffrey Buntin Jr. president of advertising operations.

He will retain the title of executive creative director at the Nashville, Tenn., shop, along with added responsibilities including media relations, account management and research. Jeffrey Buntin Sr., chairman and chief executive officer at Buntin, will continue to be active in all areas of the agency’s business.

Howard Greiner will continue as president and chief operating officer of the shop’s out-of-home media department. Buntin Sr. said that the executive changes are meant to benefit the agency long term.

“Jeffrey [Jr.] has fresh ideas and perspectives about the business that have already produced significant results for clients,” the elder Buntin said. “I see this as an opportunity for the company to step toward the future.”

The younger Buntin joined the agency in 1997 as account supervisor for the United Methodist Church. He was named creative director in 2002.
