Forza Breaks Medical Care Ads

There has to be an easier way.
New creative work from Forza Marketing Group shows a man casually shopping for groceries dressed in a lime green bio-suit, while a woman walks her poodle in the park wearing a gas mask. Both characters fear contracting the airborne microorganisms that cause pneumonia.
“There’s an easier way to protect yourself from pneumonia,” states the tagline for a vaccination campaign launched by the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care.
The work represents the third campaign produced by Little Rock, Ark.-based Forza for the foundation. The first two series centered on asthma and diabetic blindness.
“By showing people going to outrageous measures to protect themselves we have set up a memorable storyline that, with a chuckle, states our core message: the pneumonia vaccine is the easier way to protect yourself,” said Forza creative director Shawn Solloway. “I think we got the message across while having a lot of fun in the process.”
The statewide effort includes airport displays, print, television, postcards and bus signage. The campaign’s media budget was not disclosed.
The full-service marketing company, with 1998 billings of $8 million, has several other clients on its health group roster. They include Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Christus St. Patrick Hospital, Arkansas Hospital Association and Health Advantage Medi-Pak HMO. Recently, Forza added Jefferson Regional Medical Center, the fourth-largest medical facility in the state, as a client.
